Creating Dream Homes since 2000
ABOUT SALA TERRENA
Born and brought up on the Kenyan Coast, the son of an architect, Andrew Melesi soon discovered he had a passion for creating beautiful lines that somehow grow together to create beautiful homes.
First and foremost an artist, Andrew refers to himself as an 'Artitect'.
In 2000, Andrew was approached by a friend, to build his home in Nairobi. This was a huge success, and soon other friends started asking about projects at the coast. The now famous Watamu Tree House, was the next successful project, and has been featured in many International TV documentaries, magazine and newspaper articles.
Our company Sala Terrena Ltd (A Room of the Earth),
was born.
A master joiner by trade, Andrew soon realised that being able to make his own designs of doors, windows, and furniture, was necessary, so we opened a wood work shop in Kilifi called, Plantation Furniture Ltd.
Taking his inspiration from nature, Andrew considers himself fortunate to live in one of the most inspiring places in Africa.
